The third video is from the actual Frost/Nixon interviews where they are discussing Watergate.

Pres. Johnson's Speech/Kent State University
The first video is of Pres. Lyndon Johnson addressing the American public in March of 1968 and making two important statements, that the U.S. will seek peace in Vietnam and that he will not seek re-election in 1968. The second video is a compilation of images from Kent State University set to the song called "Ohio" by Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young. This song was written in response to the incident that happend in May of 1970. After watching the two videos, answer the following questions and email them in to me. This will count as two quiz grades and will be due by Friday, December, 16th. B-Block: maximum of 2 pages. C+D Blocks: maximum of 1.5 pages.

G.I. Bill of Rights Video
The following video was created by the U.S. Military to educate soldiers about the benefits of the G.I. Bill of Rights. Your assignment is to watch the video, it is about 9 minutes long, and answer the following questions in the comment section below: A. What is your opinion of the video? B. Does the video do a good job in explaining the G.I. Bill of Rights? C. How does the video portray life for soldiers after World War II? D. Kent State Univeristy
Watch the following video about the shooting of students at Kent State University protesting the Vietnam War in 1970. What do you think about the pictures used in the video? Do they help with describing what happened at Kent State University. Also, what effect do you think the song had on America when it was released after the incident. The song was written by Crosy, Stills, Nash, and Young. Honors students should write 2-3 paragraphs about the video. College level students should write 1-2 paragraphs. This is due tomorrow (Friday) and will count as a homework assignment

Pres. Carter's Speach About Failed Rescue Attempt
Watch the following speech President Jimmy Carter gave to the nation after the failed rescue attempt to save American hostages in Iran. What were your thoughts on the speech? Should he have tried another rescue mission? Please post by Tuesday, Jan. 11 and this will count as a homework assignment.
